Renewal is great and essential in life. We sleep each night to renew and regenerate the cells in our bodies. We take vacations to get away from the struggles of life and spend time with family and friends. We even take breaks from work throughout the day. Renewal is an important part of life.

When I was younger, my pastor always told me that I had to read my Bible and pray daily to grow Spiritually. While this is a good practice, I was led to believe that if I didn’t do this every day, there was no point because there would be no spiritual growth. It discouraged me from doing anything that would build my relationship with God. As I grew older, I found that spiritual growth differs for everyone.

There is an epidemic that millions of people deal with everyday. It’s not COVID, alcohol addiction or even drugs. I know many people that deal with it and many that are debilitated by it. Some cope with it through drinking, drugs and promiscuous relationships. Others live with it by withdrawing from society. No matter how people deal with it, there is hope.

Life is hard. Everyday we have to deal with stupid people. We stress over money and bills. We struggle with relationships. Some of us even deal with addictions and feelings of loneliness. Jesus even told us in John 16:33 “In the world you will have trouble.” So life is hard. What are you going to do about it?
